Our Story
The Gold Coast Dante Alighieri Italian School began in 1989 at Bond University, starting with just 2 teachers and 20 students. Since then, we have expanded into our own premises and continue to grow as a leading institution for Italian language education in Queensland.
We take pride in offering high-quality instruction with small class sizes, ensuring a supportive and immersive learning environment.
Our Teaching Approach
Our curriculum is designed to balance spoken communication, listening comprehension, reading, and writing. Each class emphasises:
- Conversation practice (both guided and free)
- Listening activities for real-world understanding
- Grammar instruction integrated into lessons
- Writing exercises using authentic materials
For students looking to improve oral fluency, we also offer specific conversation classes.
Our Committee
The Società Dante Alighieri Gold Coast is led by a dedicated committee, which oversees the school's management and cultural initiatives.
